Libby Voase is an associate attorney at Lester & Hirschberg, LLP. Her practice areas include estate planning, probate, trust administration and trust litigation. With a passion for providing comprehensive legal guidance, Libby is dedicated to ensuring her clients’ peace of mind through careful planning and strategic solutions.
Professional Experience
Libby began her legal practice in London handling criminal defense and family law matters for recipients of legal aid. Upon relocating to California, Libby made the switch to a small Camarillo firm where she handled estate planning and business law cases. To broaden her legal practice and skills, Libby spent some time at an insurance defense firm where she gained valuable litigation experience with a focus on landlord tenant, habitability and personal injury cases.
In 2021, Libby returned to her preferred practice of estate planning where she assists clients from diverse backgrounds with various estate planning needs. She takes a personalized approach to each case, taking the time to understand her client’s unique circumstances, concerns, and objectives.
Educational & Training
Libby attended The University of Leeds in the United Kingdom where she graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Environment and Business. From there, she attended London’s College of Law, Bloomsbury Campus where she attained her law degree. After relocating to Ventura County, Libby took classes at UCLA and Ventura College of Law to convert her English law degree to a Juris Doctor. Libby was admitted to the California State Bar in 2017.
Community Involvement and Personal Interests
Throughout law school, Libby volunteered at the Free Representation Unit providing free legal advice and representation to victims of domestic violence. Libby has also volunteered for the Environmental Law Foundation promoting environmental justice and providing free legal counsel to individuals and communities suffering from environmental harm.
Libby lives in Ventura County with her daughter, dog (Alfie) and two cats (Lewis and Clark). Outside of work, Libby likes to spend time with her daughter travelling, camping, skiing and roller skating. She can also be found with her nose in a good book or taking care of her houseplants.
