Eric A. Hirschberg is a partner at the law firm of Lester & Hirschberg, L.L.P. and focuses his practice in the areas of trust and estate litigation, estate planning, probate, trust administration, business and corporate transactions, and entity formation.
Much of Eric’s practice focuses on litigation involving trust and estate disputes. Eric has earned a reputation in the legal community and with his clients for his ability to resolve difficult matters, participating in numerous successful mediations per year.
Professional Experience
Eric collaborates with his estate planning clients to craft estate plans ensuring that his clients are prepared for their futures and their wishes are honored, while avoiding unnecessary taxes and administrative costs. In emotionally trying times after losing a loved one, Eric assists his clients by guiding them through the trust administration, probate process, or estate litigation.
Eric frequently prepares and presents presentations regarding estate planning to professional and community groups, as well as teaches continuing legal education estate planning programs to other attorneys.
Eric provides his business clients with comprehensive legal services from forming business entities to business succession planning and entity dissolution. These legal services include legal advice and preparation of contracts concerning mergers, purchases, acquisitions, and sales.

Eric is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association, the Woodland Hills Tax and Estate Planning Council, Divorce Alliance Group, and ProVisors (Westlake 8 and Ventura 3).
Eric is a Ventura County native who grew up in Thousand Oaks and currently lives in Newbury Park. Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and dog, as well as, skiing, golfing, exercising, traveling, and riding his motorcycle.
Education & Training
He was admitted to the California Bar in November 2009 and subsequently admitted to the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Eric is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association, the Woodland Hills Tax and Estate Planning Council, Divorce Alliance Group, and ProVisors (Westlake 8).
In 2018, Eric was honored with a 40 Under 40 award by Pacific Coast Business Times, which recognizes and profiles 40 up-and-coming businessmen and women under 40 years of age in various fields. Eric was named in the 2021 and 2022 Southern California Super Lawyers magazine as a Rising Star in the area of Estate Planning and Probate.
